|At SenseVirtual, we love monitoring the local as well as international Virtual Reality scene.
A trend we are currently witnessing locally is how food, beverage and alcohol brands are using Virtual Reality to tell their stories by immersing the public into incredible and immersive VR experiences.
An example of this is through the use of an entertaining Virtual Reality simulator called Flairtender. Flairtender is the most realistic Bartender Virtual Reality simulator which is both an entertaining experience as well as a great learning experience.
The Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is using Virtual Reality for emergency paediatric trauma situation training. This VR simulation creates a cost-effective, realistic and reliable training programme.
Dr Chang explains: “Experimental learning is among the best way to practice paediatric emergencies. We had a rather aggressive timetable and the VR simulation literally improved week by week. VR allows for the first-time experiential learning where not all the people are in the same room at the same time. It is far more flexible and students can perform the training far more often.”
VR First is a global program designed to provide state-of-the-art facilities to creators and educators interested in exploring the power and potential of virtual reality development.
There are already 26 labs operating in regions such as the USA, Europe and Asia, with another 14 due to open soon. VR First gets involved with universities and science parks to renovate standard PC labs into facilities ready for AR and VR technology.
We are looking strongly at setting up local VR learning hubs.
Feel free to let us know if your business has an interesting problem you believe that Virtual Reality can solve as we are always interested in prototyping VR solutions.
